Portrait of a Sahouè girl, Southern Benin
The Sahouè people live in southern Benin, primarily in the communes of Lokossa, Bopa, and Comè. They belong to the broader Aja ethnic group, which originated in the Tado region (in present-day Togo).
Their language is Sahouè Gbe, though many Sahouè also speak Fon and French.
Their traditional religion is Vodun (Voodoo), practiced in local forms.
Today, the Sahouè maintain their traditional rituals while participating in political life, education, and commerce; they live in a balance between modernity and tradition, proud of their cultural heritage.

Portrait of a temple guardian, Burma
Burma—officially Myanmar—is renowned for its countless temples and pagodas, with the highest concentration found in the Temple Valley of Bagan. Other significant places of worship are located in Yangon, Mandalay, and Mrauk U.
When visiting temples in Burma, it is important to dress appropriately (keeping shoulders and knees covered) and to remove shoes and socks before entering sacred areas.
The temple guardians in Burma (Myanmar) are primarily *Chinthe*—mythological creatures resembling lions or griffins—often depicted in pairs at the entrances to pagodas and temples to protect the sacred space from evil spirits.
